ISDP Director Presents to EU Parliment
Brussels -- On Wednesday 11 June 2008 The Society's ISDP Director,
Mr. Michael Youash presented at a conference at the European Parliament
in Brussels on the situation of
the Assyrians in Iraq. The event was organized by the Assyria Council
of Europe in cooperation with the European Peoples Party-European
Democrats, the biggest bloc in the European Parliament, and touched on
crucial issues and questions regarding the plight and future survival
of Iraq's indigenous people.

The Iraq Sustainable Democracy Project works at enabling Iraqi under-represented ethnic and religious minorities to
realize their rights, freedoms and equitable chance at development in

| Immigration Panel held in Michigan |
 The Assyrian Academic Society along with the Chaldean American Chamber of Commerce, and the Chaldean Federation of America hosted a public panle presentation on current Immigration oppurtunities in Southfield Michigan. Immigration Attorneys and refugee resettlement experts included:
- Mr. Steve Garmo, Garmo & Associates
- Mr. Robert Dekelaita, Law Office of Robert Dekelaita
- Mr. N. Peter Antone, Antone, Casagrande & Aswers, P.C.
- Mr. Joe Kassab, Chaldean Federation of America
